Every Bite is Memorable With What's the Kitch Recipes

By Kelly Church

With a testimonial from world-renowned Gordon Ramsay calling them a "company to keep an eye on," What's the Kitch is a Manhattan, NY catering and events company that works the tri-state area. Jeffrey Langelli is the President and Executive Chef of the company and creates every menu from scratch using fresh ingredients that add boosts of flavor. Menus can be created for groups as small as two, and large events.

"We're different from competitors because we use all hand-selected fresh ingredients, we have an in-house secret spice blend that just explodes with tantalizing flavor in your mouth," Langelli said. "Our menu is sophisticated, but not pretentious and that's very important to us. Anyone from any walk of life can enjoy our food."

Langelli said the menu is diverse, drawing from Italian, Cuban, Mexican and even Scottish cultures, among many others. Langelli aims to be creative in all of his dishes, creating unique flavor combinations that taste like they belong together. No frozen or canned foods, Langelli said.

"Our catering menu can best be described most as personal," Langelli said. "With our chef-created, gourmet small plates concept, it gives our clients the chance to enjoy their options one by one, bite by bite without overloading their taste palate. Every bite is memorable."

Some menu items include crispy Parmesan bites, teriyaki meatballs, dumplings, Scottish salmon and paella, for small plates. What's the Kitch also offers stations for events where guests want to assemble their own meals. Different stations include: sliders, tacos, pasta and more. Guests can also enjoy larger prepared meals, including chicken Parmesan, fried rice and Cajun shrimp pasta. Cheese boards, salads, vegetable boards and more can also be arranged.

Langelli also said What's the Kitch's décor makes them a unique and multifunctional business. Langelli said his business isn't one dimensional like many other companies. He credits their events manager, Natasha Matallana, for creating a great atmosphere at What's the Kitch and also bringing the vision of any party to life. Langelli said they typically exceed their clients' expectations.

"We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and happiness," Langelli said. "We want the consumer to be happy and satisfied and most importantly comfortable with their decision that they went with the best."
