Prime Fine Catering Has A Diverse Menu And Professional Flair

By S. Mathur

At Prime Fine Catering, the menu is as diverse as the clientele.

"Our menu is as varied as our clients," president Henry Barone said. "Whatever people like is what we do. Whether it's Italian, Asian, Indian, Mexican, American BBQ, etc. Catering is just that, catering to your client's wants and needs." The full service catering company operates out of a small storefront in Garden City NY, which also houses a small restaurant and take out service.

Prime Fine Catering can come up with everything from an elegant buffet to an eight course black tie affair. They can provide just the right meal for a party of six or six hundred people. The company handles everything for a special event, including custom event and menu planning and full rental, tent and staffing services. They can also provide music, lighting and valet services.

The catering menu has three sections, from which client can choose. Depending on the occasion, they could pick New York Deli Entertaining, with party heros, cold cut platters and hot entrees including seafood, pasta, meats and side dishes. The Casual Entertaining section provides hot and cold hor d'oeuvres, party platters, wraps, ciabatta and finger sandwiches. The Elegant Entertaining menu has hot and cold hor d'oeuvres, salads and appetizers, soups, and entrees including various prime meats, seafood, vegetarian meals and desserts.

Food servings, decor and place settings are all arranged with artistic flair. Holiday menus for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, Valentines Day and St. Patrick's Day make it easier for hosts to celebrate the occasion without missing out all the fun. Super Bowl catering likewise makes parties much easier. One unique feature of Prime Fine Catering meals is that they come with detailed reheating instructions, so that everything from the Brussels sprouts to the meats come to the table delicious and crisp.

The company takes the trouble to personalize each order because Barone believes that clients should always work with businesses that make them feel comfortable.

"That's exactly what we do here," he said. "We make people comfortable. They know they are in good hands by the attention we give them from start to finish. This is what makes us who we are."

The restaurant and take out service are very popular with the locals. Lunch time is busy with orders for soup and sandwiches on Tom Cat bread from a local bakery that is a Long Island and NYC institution. Dinner take outs provide a healthy, balanced meal for busy workers and their families.
