Yoga Reiki Unity Practices Holistic Healing on a Multi-dimensional Level

Luba Tverskoy is no stranger to the practice of yoga. She's been involved with the process for over 20 years, having taken a multitude of workshops, classes, and training courses along the way. During the two decades in which she's been devoted to the yogi lifestyle, Tverskoy found a division of this ancient method of physical and mental fitness which called to her on a new level: Reiki.

The word yoga originally comes from the Sanskrit language, which was once used by an ancient Indian population. Yoga was crafted to unite the mind, body, and spirit in order to create harmony within the body and its surroundings.

The original practitioners of yoga aimed to balance the body and the life, creating a healthier lifestyle. Reiki yoga is a form of yoga created by the Japanese which focuses on the attuning of one's energy to that of the universe. It has long been considered a form of holistic medicine, in which the energy flow in a person's life is increased, altering their internal and external health. Tverskoy has been practicing Reiki as a Professional Yoga Therapist for over 12 years now.

"It is an art and science that is applied to individual needs and specific health conditions," Tverskoy said.

While not a new trend, yoga therapy has been gaining a wider acceptance in the medical and fitness communities over the recent years. When starting a routine in yoga therapy, the PYT (professional yoga therapist) will work with the client, guiding and supporting their sustained health and wellness in a multi-dimensional healing process.

"Professional yoga therapy has a specific understanding of yoga in relation to health," Tverskoy said. "In spirit of the original meaning of therapy, caring for the self, the PYT does not diagnose, but designs an effective and progressive yoga program based on information from client and, if appropriate, from their health care providers."

Today, Tverskoy offers a wide range of services for those looking to rebalance their bodies and their lives through her company, Yoga Reiki Unity. Her services include Yoga Therapy, Reiki, Reiki massage, Thai Massage, Positional Therapy, and Functional Yoga Therapy. After experiencing her own personal healing through yoga following a terrible car accident, Tverskoy turned her attentions to those who needed help to be their best physically, emotionally, and mentally.
